VirtualBox
can boot virtual machines from USB flash drives, allowing you to boot a
live Linux system or install an operating system from a bootable USB
device This process will allow you to run your Portable Linux from the
USB Flash Drive or external hard drive while still running from a
Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X Host. By default VirtualBox does not support USB Boot. However, this is easily attainable by mapping a virtual machine (.vmdk file) to the USB Drive.
Steps to boot from USB in Virtualbox
1. Don't open VirtualBox
2. First insert Pendrive
Now Run CMD as ADMIN
Now Run CMD as ADMIN
Type : diskmgmt.msc
Type : cd %programfiles%\oracle\virtualbox
Type : VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename "%USERPROFILE%"\.VirtualBox\usb.vmdk -rawdisk \\.\PhysicalDrive#
